How to Design Jack-o-lantern Faces

Shapes. Designs look a lot more complex when they’re finished but many designs are built upon simple shapes. Combining shapes, subtracting a shape from another, modifying a shape, using an existing shape as a starting point to make another….All. The. Time.

When starting out designing cut files for cutting machines like Cricut and SIlhouette, I tried making the design process a lot harder than it had to be when all I really needed was to start with the basics and build off of them. You’ll see in the video how I repeatedly use a shape I already created or how I use a basic shape and build on it to create the item I want. Easier than you thought?
